On Friday 4th April, Team Benchmark, comprising Stuart Didd, Jack Murphy, Jamie Skipp, Dave Harding and Lawrence Adesanya took on the Lighthouse Construction Charity’s Fire Walk, to raise awareness and funds for the organisation.
Tasked with walking barefoot across burning embers to overcome fear and self-doubt, Benchmark Scaffolding became the headline sponsor and gathered a team to join the event. All five on Team Benchmark worked with the Fire Walk coaches and marched across the 15-foot path to the cheers of friends, family and fellow Fire Walkers from across the construction industry.
Stuart Didd, Contracts Manager at Benchmark Scaffolding commented: “The Lighthouse Construction Charity’s Fire Walk was so good to be involved in. It’s a great example of how fear or negative thoughts can hold you back, but with the right guidance and support, you can overcome it. The walk was pretty nerve racking but completing it and supporting a charity that’s so important in our industry was a proud moment for us all.”
Team Benchmark raised £2,075 in sponsorship for The Lighthouse Construction Charity. Congratulations to our team and thank you to all who donated!
